Shipper FAQs

Opus9 makes it easy for you to get your freight moved at your fingertips. Simply visit our Homepage, pick the mode of transport and enter your origin and destination to get flat rate pricing in seconds. Select the quote that best fits your needs and book online quickly and efficiently. From quote to payment, there is no need to make any phone calls to brokers or exchange several emails.
Once you place a booking with Opus9 you will get access to Opus9’s TMS. Your login account will be created upon booking and instructions to set your password will be emailed to you. Alternatively, you can Sign Up to create your account in order to access the TMS.
Yes! We cover the Continental United States for Truckload and LTL shipments. For Drayage, we currently support inbound and outbound freight from the following ports; Los Angeles (CA), Long Beach (CA), Savannah (GA), Elizabeth (NJ). Stay tuned as we build out more ports in the upcoming months.
You can pay for the shipment using a credit card or eCheck (ACH) by using our encrypted Opus9 Electronic Invoice. For ACH users, your default payment terms are 7 days after your invoice issue date. Once your payment terms expire, the invoice is considered delinquent and will be auto-charged 15 days after the terms expire. For Credit card users, your card will be charged automatically 3 days after the invoice issued.

There are certain charges that are not foreseeable or neglected by the shipper during a booking, such as accessorials, driver detention, toll fee. Opus9 will pass those charges from the carrier to the shipper once they occurred. You will be fully notified of any adjustments via email notification if they are made.
For any billing issues, you must contact accounting@opus9.com within 72 hours of Opus9 sending invoice emails to you, to dispute any shipment charges. Outside this dispute window, your bill statement is considered final.
Visibility to your shipment is just as important to us as it is to you. All Truckload and LTL shipments are tracked using GPS or ELD using our TMS. You can track your shipment on our TMS.
Yes, you are free to cancel your booking 24 hours before the scheduled pickup date. However, if you cancel the booking within 24 hours of the pickup date, Opus9 will charge you a truck-order-not-used fee of $250 for Truck Load, $50 for LTL and Drayage move.
All delivery dates on bookings are estimated. We provide you the ability to track your shipments and you will be notified via email, phone calls, or directly from our TMS if any issues arise during transit.

Opus9 currently offers full truckload (dry van, refrigerated, and flatbed), LTL, and container drayage services. Stay tuned as we build out more services that help in providing end-to-end transparency.
Currently, we only support live load/unload drayage move between the ocean port and cities. Please note we do not support refrigerated or hazardous goods at the moment. We will add more services in the future - stay tuned!
Opus9 supports standard dry van containers that are 20GP, 40GP, 40HC, and 45HC.
If you want to call to say “Hi”, we’d love that, otherwise, all you need to do is get a quote, book and relax knowing your shipment is our responsibility.

Carrier FAQs

It’s a select group of carriers that help Opus9 service customers. We provide real loads, and pay quickly (no fees). Our only requirement is 100% visibility - through a GPS or ELD device.
Register to become a carrier and we will send emails with real booking requests. Respond with your price, and if selected, we’ll send the rate confirmation and BOL.
We pay you electronically 30 days after the POD for Truckload is received. No more “checks in the mail”.
Opus9 sends an SMS to your driver's mobile device. The SMS will include a link to a web page, where the driver can upload and submit the POD. The POD will automatically be sent to Opus9 for processing and quick payment.
No, you do not pay for tracking. Opus9 requires all loads to be tracked via GPS or ELD device.
You can choose as many lanes as you want to run. We’ll give you real loads for your chosen lanes.
Since we are tracking the load, we will proactively communicate with the Shipper on issues that arise during transit.
We require 100% visibility through GPS or ELD device so that we can proactively communicate potential detention, lumper, layover, or other issues. This allows you to receive and move freight easily, and get paid quickly.
Once registered, you’ll receive real loads via email.
Currently, there is no load board as such. You will receive emails for all the loads we have for you, based on the lanes you selected during onboarding. Stay tuned as we have exciting developments coming soon to this area.
No. You choose your rates for each load.
